Teeth Whitening

Healthy Smiles for the Whole Family

What is Teeth Whitening?

Whitening your teeth is an easy and effective way to eliminate stains and discoloration. While many things can contribute to a dull smile, whitening can help to bring it back to life and take years off of your appearance. We offer in-office professional whitening and a take-home kit that you can do yourself. Whitening is best on natural teeth and provides long-lasting, dramatic results.

Why would you benefit from Teeth Whitening?

Many different factors can easily contribute to a yellow-looking smile. Smoking, coffee drinking, drinking a lot of cola as well as certain medications can all change how your teeth look. If your teeth are dull and stained, it can cause you to look older than you are. Whitening can be done as a way to improve your appearance at any time or before a big, special event.

What makes someone a candidate for Teeth Whitening?

It is important to remember that whitening is best done on natural teeth. It will not lighten the color of restorations like veneers, crowns, bridges, fillings or bonding. If you have severely sensitive teeth, the treatment might not be the best choice for you. We will examine your teeth to decipher if they’re healthy enough to be whitened.

What can be expected during Teeth Whitening?

The whitening process can either be done in our office or in the convenience of your own home. For our in-office whitening treatment, we’ll apply a thin layer of gel to your teeth. A bright light is then placed over the teeth, activating the ingredients within this gel. You will sit comfortably in our office for about an hour while whitening is done. Our take-home whitening treatment involves making custom-made trays for your teeth. We provide you with a whitening gel that is used in conjunction with the trays. We will instruct you on how and when to wear the trays at home for effective, long-term whitening results.
